We invite you, your family, and friends to help Military Honor Flags USA in our mission to Remember and Honor our heroes who are laid to rest in Black Hills National Cemetery. We are asking for volunteers to help place (and remove) an American flag on every grave marker (approximately 24,000) on Memorial Day weekend. Flag placement is 8:30am on Sunday, May 24, 2026 and flag pick up is 7:30am on Saturday, May 30. Placement of flags typically takes about two hours, but volunteers can stay for as long or short a period of time as they wish. Please wear comfortable and supportive shoes. We encourage those who are placing flags to bring a 12 inch ruler and a 5 or 6 inch screwdriver to aide in proper placement.
This is a great opportunity to show your appreciation for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. This is truly a rewarding and memorable experience!
Please go to the ‘Sign Up’ form below to reserve your spot. We thank you in advance for your help and support.
